All cats get sick, even indoor ones with all of their shots. On this page there is common signs of sickness as well as some household remedies. I hope this is useful!

Cures |
1:
If your cat has a runny nose or eyes and sneezes, it could be a common cold. But if it lasts longer than 10 days, it might need to be seen by a vet. |
1:
When your cat has a cold, wipe its eyes with a warm, wet rag. Then run a HOT bath or shower, causing the bathroom to have steam. Leave your cat in the bathroom for 10-15 minutes, or let your cat sleep with a vaporizor. If this doesn't work, consult a vetrenarian. |
2:
If your cat seems to be meowing more than usual, it may just be saying that he/she wants food, water, or attention. |
2:
If all of those needs are met, and your cat still is talkative, feel around its body for swelling, and watch for signs of pain. If your cat is a female and has not been fxed, she may be in heat. |
3:
If your cat sleeps more often than usual, or would rather sleep than eat or drink, it could result in hepatic lipidosis, which can kill your cat. |
3:
Unfortunatly I don't know of a household cure that allways works, or even usually works. But sometimes you can get a bit of food into your cat by pouring some water into the bowl with the food and taking a peice against your cats lips. I discovered this when I was with my sick cat. This rarely works, I just got lucky, and your best bet is to call the vet. |
4:
If your cat is loosing fur or vomiting, it could have ringworm or an internal obstruction. |
4:
If your cat seems to vomit too often, call your vet. If it has ringworm, it can be cured with fungal treatment and I reccomend adding flea repelent too. |
5:
If your cat does not use the litterbox, it could be simple or a problem. |
5:
Your cat may not want to use the litterbox because it is dirty. If it will still not use it after you have cleaned it, it may be a serious problem. Call your vetrenarian. |
